This Story Got To Me

This story is about a camp for siblings who have been separated by the foster care system, allowing them to be together for a week.

Stories about "lost" children make me tear up. I don't know why.

    Heavy heart. Sometimes I think we'd be better off going back to orphanages in the US. Sometimes institutions are the better option.

    Sigh.

    The foster system may be better than their homes of origin, but the system is, well, broken. It makes me sad, especially having worked with kids who "failed" the foster system. Who failed who?
