On a tangent: naturally I appreciate your comment on Daniel Larison's blog, a comment with which I fully concur. I declined to express my appreciation over there only because, well, my own earlier comments had left me no crisp way to back down. (I don't want to be one of those wimps who wilts every times someone suggests that the person might be a "racist.")
May Barbados be the model for the future of Africa. One can hope. Be that as it may, I agree with you: let the Africans be Africans.
